Results of my Mass Sales Page Experiment
A few weeks ago, I decided to try something new. One of the best pieces of advice I got on success was from Robert Kiyosaki, the author of "Rich Dad Poor Dad ". A point that was made in this book was Robert’s inability to make sales at his new job. When he talked to his rich dad he told him, "You’re not failing fast enough".
I learned a lot about article marketing because I wrote a lot of articles. A lot of articles didn’t produce any results and a lot of them did. I learned by writing a lot of articles which ended up failing. Objective: I had a few of them. The first was to write a lot of sales pages for my related niches to see which style of sales page got sales and which ones didn’t. I also wanted to find new products to sell. As you know, some products sell and others don’t. It’s just a matter of trying them out. Results:
Total Sales Pages Created: 23
Affiliates/Sales Pages That Didn’t Sell: 14 Conclusion: Who said experimenting doesn’t pay off. If you’re curious, those are not my earnings, just the earnings of my experiment. It really shows you that sometimes FAILING can have good results. Think about it. I had 14 pages that did jack shit for me. I invested time into them and didn’t earn a penny back from them, but if I didn’t make them I wouldn’t of learned, adapted and evolved. I had plenty that sold and they’ll continue to make me sales into the future. Try out your own little experiments. The faster you fail, the faster you lose, the faster you learn. Really, there’s nothing to worry about. Your precious ego won’t be shattered if you make a sales page that doesn’t make any sales. July 15 2008
