Newbie Project: Long Term Recycling Part 2

hub

This is a basic outline of a hub. It’s very basic. Top of the page you’re going to have an Ad. Under it will be the title of the site. You’ll do a bit of keyword research for this to pick something decent.

The squiggly lines just symbolize text. A few squiggly lines makes a paragraph.

Next you have the three sub categories. These are just sub niches and you’re going to have some text under them that will end up linking to the three articles you have. What you’ll do is write a unique paragraph on the topic of the article, than link to it.

At the bottom, you’re going to put in a filter, like a money bar. If you’re unfamiliar with that term, it’s just a table, where each cell has a broad niche in it. Health, Business, Software, Parenting, Food, etc. They’re not subniches or anything along those lines. Each niche word will link to a related sponsor. That’s all it’s for; filter and send to a sponsor.

I don’t really care how you make your hub. The picture illustrates a very basic setup. You can make it any way you want. You can put the categories on top of each other. I don’t care, just as long as it is a decent filtering place.

You’re not actually going to link to your articles on the article directories. You’re going to put them on their own page. The only real work is that you’re going to rewrite them, but you’re going to focus on keeping the same keywords used, so Google picks up on it. The great thing is that you don’t have to follow article directory rules. You can place affiliate links right in the middle of the article on action words. It’s all good. I’ll leave it up to you on how you design the page. You can put an Ad at the top. All that is required is at the bottom of the page, it links back the hub.

That is all it is. To recap. You’re going to take articles that have proven to be successful in article directories, rewrite them and put them up on your own site, all tied together with a hub.

You don’t have to rush to get this done. If you rewrite a few articles a day, you should be done by Monday. It’s just a good long term thing to do. The key is proven articles and eventually Google and other search engines will appreciate the work.

Long Term: Over the long term, you’ll probably want to get some link juice back to this project. I’m not sure how EzineArticles will look at linking back to a hub. They should accept it. You also want to have some link backs to the articles themselves. I’m sure EA won’t be quite as happy with that. But there are tons of article directories out there, so you can get some decent back links to every part of the project.

I only have one rule for this entire project and that is that you do it in HTML format. It’s not hard. This is as basic as it gets for HTML. You don’t have to do anything spectacular. Just the basics.

I think that is enough for now. I just actually thought of something to add onto this project to improve on it, but we’ll do that next week. It’ll add around 4 extra html pages to it. Throw it all in a subdirectory on your domain and its done.

Good luck and remember to profit.
