Newbie Project: Gas Prices
Since this is the first newbie project I’ll explain what it is. It’s fun to just have little projects for people to try out, just to do something different. You don’t have to be a newbie for this, just someone that wants to do something different. I should be doing these every single Friday.
Gas Prices Everyone in the world is paying a lot higher gas prices and it’s really just starting to piss people off. People are really starting to changing their habits when it comes to driving. Everyone is looking for a change, so they can save some money. What we’re going to do is go after these people because they’re definitely a market. We’re going to start off by making a landing/sales page for one of our particular products. The only rule I have is that it can’t be anything related to gas it’s self. That means no Water4Gas or gas saving tips. I suggest you use something the has been selling well for you lately, regardless of the niche. This landing page will focus on what you’re selling, as a solution to high gas prices. This is where your creative selling juices must come out because it is up to you to figure this out. You should definitely be able to do this though. Here are a few for the weight loss niche just off the top of my head:
The point is that you’re going to play up some gas angle and your niche. Your landing page should focus completely on that fact. Next part of the project is to sit down and write some articles. You’re going to play up the same angle as your landing page. Try to find some good keywords for both gas and weight loss to use in the same article. You’re on your own when it comes to keyword research. You should write a total of 5 articles and submit them to a few directories. Just to recap, you should be making one landing page and 5 articles. When you finish, we’ll see how it goes. You can post your landing page in the comments to show it off if you want. It’s your choice. July 4 2008
