Experiment: Ebook Blitzkrieg
I was talking to my mentor, the adult webmaster, so you won't find him on any of the usual webmaster forums. Anyway we were discussing a very interesting tactic for profiting and I'm going to give it a try.
This is going to be done completely independent, so I'm not putting any of these in any programs like PDC, ejunkie or Clickbank. It's all going to be done by myself and that's cool. The idea behind this is to make very typical ebooks, just not long. I'm aiming at about 10 pages, but they are oriented toward specific problems. I'm not going into the mega-niches, it's all going to be very subniche and less common. I will make sure there is a market for it though I'm not going to buy a domain name for each of them. I'm going to pick up an "ebook" domain name and fill up the subdirectories with this stuff. The Blitzkrieg part is going to be me making a hopefully a few of these each week. The idea behind this is really quite simple. If I list these as $17, it's not a lot of money, but the ebooks aren't huge either. If I make one ebook and make a few sales a week, that's not much money, but if I pump out a few a week and do this for a while, I can make a nice passive income. That's the whole idea. Obviously, since this is a listed experiment I'm going to keep you updated on the results. There is a lot of extra benefits, assuming things go well, such as upselling, list building (sorry, I just don't think it's effective anymore) and good all around research. If I have a specific ebook selling like hot cakes, I can always design a higher quality one and put it on an affiliate program. I will not be making long sales letters for these. I'm going to go in a different direction with'em. That's not to say they're not like sales letters, but the emphasis won't be long. This is the second post I've written tonight (29th, but I'll post them tomorrow). I'm writing these on my laptop that isn't picking up the wireless connection. Just watching TBS right now, and the movie Panic Room is on. I didn't realize that Jodie Foster had boobs that big. January 30 2009
