Defacing Wikipedia I know what you're thinking... What's your beef with Wikipedia? Most people don't understand how corrupt Wikipedia is as an informative source until you've actually tried to add some of your knowledge to it. FACT: Wikipedia Isn't All That Factual When it comes to ordinary topics like math, it's pretty damn accurate, but once you go into topics that are much more emotionally charged you will end up seeing that agenda's run the show. A few of these areas are... Politics Environmentalism Topics That People Want Political (Oil Companies) Religion Etc. FACT: Wikipedia's Idea of Facts is Majority Rules You're going to notice very quickly if you know factual information that it doesn't matter. It really doesn't. If your views aren't popular - well you're out of luck. I'm sorry, but facts aren't majority rules. FACT: Seniority Before Facts It's really odd, but I've had information removed because someone more senior than me didn't like it. They kept replacing it with unverified data, where as I documented mine. Nice Wiki! FACT: Hard to Change What's Already Up This was a great one. I added in a little information about a television show on a character. It was immediately reversed by a senior editor telling me that my information was wrong. I replaced it anyway and they said I need to have a source. So I removed all the information on the page that wasn't sourced. I was banned for that. Apparently unsourced information that is already up is fair game, but if you try to put up one sentence - you're fucked. The Plan I'm looking for warriors out there that want to do a little defacing and if you're someone that has already done this, I want you to email me. If you have any guides for doing this, please let me know. If you do a little vandalism and it stays up for a few days, hit me up with an email and I'll showcase it on my site. The more stupidity you can showcase on Wikipedia, the better. Obviously mass deleting pages will do shit since their immediately get reversed. If someone can add in that a person has aids, you rock. But if they have aids, it doesn't count lol. Let the games begin.
