Cutting Back to The Basics - Back to my Roots
Warning: This post is a rant.
I’ve been growing extremely frustrated lately. Clickbank appears to be having a royal problem processing their orders. I know there are people out there that will argue it is the economy. I agree, the economy has an effect, but it would be a consistent effect. My sales aren’t going to bounce around from highs to lows each day. There’s a problem and I don’t like it.
As you can see there was the major crash on September 10th. There was a period where it went back up and sales were good. Now it’s heading back down again. I’m sending record amounts of traffic to CB and I’m pissed off. One day this traffic will convert several times and the next zeros. It’s annoying me to know end. If there is one thing the Four Hour Workweek taught me, it was to evaluate things. It really comes down to this; Clickbank may be having a problem and there’s nothing I can do about it. That’s fact. I can piss and moan. I can let it boil around my head all day, but in the end, I can’t do anything about it. Since it is something that is consuming me, all I can do is cut it out. At this point, I’m cutting out all the non-essentials that don’t yield profit. No More Clickbank Stats I just can’t check it anymore. I set up that thing, so I could be emailed every time I get a sale. Well, I’m going to cut that off. I won’t get anymore CB stimulation. I’ll check in on things once a week because daily is pissing me off. It’s too much of a roller coaster. No More Forums I feel it is important for me to continue networking on forums, but I think it’s causing me more harm than good. I think the groupthink of the forum is sort of creating the whole hysteria with me. I just need to get away from all the talk and get back to the basics. I Need to Diversify my Income Sources I’ve dipped into diversifying a little bit. I’ve done a little with paydotcom and I wasn’t impressed with it. I just didn’t like it. I didn’t like the products and it just didn’t do it for me. I do understand that CB is one of a kind and I don’t plan to cut it out, but I need to find something else just for sanity sake. I’ve heard good things about Copeac. I’m still waiting to hear back from them. I have trouble with whole phone verification thing since I’m on dial up. No More Drama I just need to cut out all the bullshit and get back to the basics; the fundamentals of making money and just keep pressing forward. CB should work through their problems and I shouldn’t end up wasting time waiting for it to happen. September 26 2008
