Article Quality vs. Quantity

This is something I had to chime in about since it just annoys me. I remember seeing on a forum someone asking how many articles should they write per day. People would come in, say how much and it typically was 2-5/day. I came in and gave the 15-30/day. Next post is "I do 2-3 per day, but mine are QUALITY. I don’t aim for QUANTITY".

What I don’t like about that is this innuendo that they’re doing something BETTER than I am and that my articles are some how not QUALITY.

Well, how is quality defined? I don’t know. No one seems to have an answer. Is it something that is SEO ready? Is it something that is an encyclopedia of information? Or is it something that requires you to invest a lot of time into?

I’ll tell you what I think makes up a quality article; its ability to make me money. Simple as that. I’ve noticed that some of the most overly vague crap is loved by viewers, gets tons of hits and makes a ton of sales. Obviously it doesn’t take much to make "quality".

The way I think is that if you know how to make a quality article, wouldn’t it be better to make a lot of quality articles? If one good article makes you a sale, wouldn’t five good articles make you five sales?

I think people need to start getting past this "quality" thinking. It’s an incredible vague cliche. I go by this simple philosophy; do what works and repeat it. This means you can have both quality and quantity at the same time. They’re not mutually exclusive.
